A Thought for Today

I wish you Christmas every time your eyes close. I pray that you will run with deer and soar with eagles, touching ground only long enough to find that one who'll love you every bit as much as I do and one you'll feel the same toward.

 

Merry Christmas!

The Flight Plan today is, as always, a team effort. Rod chose the poem, Eric selected, captured and uploaded the first of our Christmas downloads, "The Carols of Christmas", and all that remains for me to do is put the whole thing together and wish you all a very Merry Christmas. May you enjoy a relaxing, peaceful day with those you love.

If you loved my face as much as you love Christmas, I'd be safe from year to year.

Christmas is more than a celebration; it's a time of summing up.

GIFT WITHOUT STRINGS

 I’ll walk you
just as far
as Christmas Day
and not one hour further,
leaving you to make your way
through the winter and the springs ahead.

A gift I give you
with no ribbon or bright bow
attached to me
or a Christmas contract.
A present of reality
is made from truth
as much as it is shaped from love.

Go forward; straight ahead.
There are no limits on your life
but those barricades
you’ll build yourself.

Though I give you only words
to unravel on this Christmas day
and words may not seem
such a pretty present,
if you let them work for you
one day you’ll thank me
with a shining smile
brighter than the one I’m sending

to your young face now.
