Kind words are never forgotten, they reverberate down a lifetime.

CHRISTMAS YET TO COME

Tomorrow comes
and Christmas next year too
and hour upon hour
as afternoons chase evenings
the days line into decades.

Hark the holidays
and keep them holy,
save them all as markers.

One Christmas-
not yet here perhaps,
but on the way
we’ll be here again.
The world and we.
I’ll come back to building bridges.
You’ll begin rebuilding me.

Rod's random thoughts The most that we can do for one another is care.

There is no such thing as an excess of benevolence.

I am not convinced that truth alone can make us free, but I believe it a beginning and a final resting place.

There's so little magic in morning
butterflies in your eyes and a teardrop or two,
I'd run down the dawning with danger

If I cried out to God without warning
who am I, where am I
why am I so alone?
He'd probably show me the highway
leading To You and to home.

There's so little magic in midnight
fireflies in your eyes
and a sparkle or two,
I'd dance through the darkness with danger
If I could be dancing To You.

If love gives you life or takes lifetimes
I'll give life or take life To You.
