RIVERTON
CONCERT FEEDBACK
The Riverton
bash is just around the corner and once again we hope to feature feedback
from concert goers right here on ASPTL.
If you are
going to be one of the lucky attendees and think you'll be able to submit
a report-back shortly after the concert, please drop me a line letting me
know that you'll be able to help out. The e-mail address is, as usual, ken@mckuen.com
.
I have no idea
of the availability of Internet access from Riverton but I'm pretty sure
some of our more resourceful readers will find a way to file their report.
Look forward to hearing from you.
THIS ONE
DOES IT FOR ME!
Simran has a couple of goodies
for us today.
Ken,
Can you guys put in something from "With Love...".
(pretty please with banana chips on top?) That was my first and still a favorite and poems from
that book very rarely make it onto the FP.
Or maybe you can put it into
"This One Does It For Me"? How about "The Distance to Monterey"? Or "Old Houses"? I would like everyone to learn to run with gypsies. Do
you still taste like almonds? ;)
Simran
You've got
both, Simran, and thanks for your contribution.
Here's the
first:
The Distance to Monterey
Silence is a better means
for telegraphing thought
than any Morse code yet made.
I wonder if you know
how many conversations
we have had so far
with no words passed ?
I often think our silence
has energy to get us
all the way to Monterey and back.

Please drop me a line at ken@mckuen.com
if you have a favorite McKuen song or poem you'd like to share and I'll make
sure your submission is published right here one Wednesday.
