A Thought for Today

I close my eyes to dreaming, only long enough to dream.

This One Does It For Me!

Dear Ken,

On Friday 09/29/06 my Border Collie died suddenly after 12 years of shared love and companionship. Muffin now rests in my own Boot Hill with a myriad of other wonderful pets.

Perhaps there is something you can call-up about Mr. Kelly to help ease the ache from the silence in the house today. Thanks for doing that for me.

I was joyful to hear the entire family was together for the birthday of Megan and Nicola. What a blessing for all of you. Hope it was a bang-up time for you all!

Take care and be well. Thanks for the favor with the poem.

Peace,

Robyn

I'm so sorry to hear about Muffin, Robyn.

Your letter got me thinking about all the pets we've said goodbye to over the years. It's never easy and all I can say to you is that it does get better with time. You never forget them, though, and nor should you.

On a happier note the birthday celebrations with Megan and Nicola were ... well, hectic is the word which springs to mind. Megan was only here for a week (she's safely back in London now) so we packed as much as we could into the time available.
Priscilla and I are still suffering from sleep deprivation but we enjoyed every single minute of our time together.

Thanks for your letter, Robyn, and hang in there.

Rod's random thoughts Even age and time take on a sameness with age and time.

If you haven't heard the sunset, you haven't been listening.

Each of us should be alone at times - if only to confront ourselves.

MR.KELLY

Hey Mister Kelly, ain’t it a thrill
just to go running down some green hill
barking at butterflies and birds in the trees
caught in the sunshine, Kelly and me.

Rollin’ on a green grass, walkin’ by the sea
always together, Kelly and me.

Hey Mister Kelly, when we grow old
who’ll give us comfort and care from the cold
what does it matter, long as we’re free
and always together, Kelly and me.

Runnin’ on a green grass, walkin’ by the sea
children of darkness, Kelly and me.
