A Thought for Today
Each of us should be alone at times - if only to confront ourselves.

Hi Ken,
I haven't seen this on any flight plan yet (even did a site search).
I'm not even sure what album it came from but the words and piano music strike
a chord with me.
The song title is
"Time After Time". Anyone who has ever
been in love has certainly felt these emotions at some point in the relationship.
I'm "so lucky" to have a partner who makes me feel what this song portrays
in words and music.
Warmly,
Dave Calhoun
Hey Dave,
it's so good to meet another out and out romantic and thanks for an
interesting contribution.
"Time
After Time" is, of course, one of the great standards of our time.
Written by the legendary Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne it featured in MGM's
"It Happened In Brooklyn" and was first recorded by Rod way
back in 1960, would you believe!
It appears
on a number of McKuen albums, most notably the CD version of his
"Greatest Hits Vol. 1". The arrangement is by yet another
legend of the music business, Arthur Greenslade. What a combination of
talent!
I'll see you
again next week with another in our series of favorite songs and poems.
If you have something to contribute, the address is ken@mckuen.com
